Time will tell how quickly the Raiders are able to regain national prominence as one of the best teams in the league and are able to make it to the Super Bowl. But it is equally possibly the Super Bowl could come to them. This week, all eyes have turned to Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI. Indianapolis was given the opportunity to host by way of a new stadium initiative that started years ago.
The Raiders have been making a flurry of hires the past couple days. First came offensive coordinator Greg Knapp and within a little over a day, he had put together most of his staff. But thus far, the only coordinators and position coaches have been on the offensive side of the ball as the Raiders have been met with considerable resistance in their search for a new defensive coordinator.
The Raiders have been moving quickly hiring their coaching staff the past few days. The most recent is bringing in Frank Pollack to coach the offensive line as first reported by Foxsports.com. Pollack replaces Bob Wylie who coached the Raiders' offensive line last season. That means out with Wylie's power blocking scheme and in with Pollack's zone blocking scheme.
This is an updated transaction list of Raider coaches both current and now former. Each time there appears to be a coach incoming or a former coach signs with another team, this blog will be updated to reflect those changes to keep you up to date.

Dennis Allen believes they are on the cusp... with a couple tweaks.
no commentsThe Raiders introduced their new head coach today. Dennis Allen comes in as the 18th head coach in Raiders' history. He is firmly in the tradition of the Raiders hiring upstart, firey young head coaches. In fact, he is replacing one in Hue Jackson. And on Monday, we got to meet Allen for the first time since he signed his four year deal to become the Raiders' next head coach.
