JoeTait: "Less handshakes, more hard work"
Written by Kyle Whitling
Saturday, 27 February 2010 07:25

The legend behind the microphone had an interesting comment prior to Thursday night’s Cavs vs. Celtics tilt in Beantown.  Tait rarely gets into the analytical side of the broadcast, and wasn’t prompted,  so it was a bit surprising to hear his take:  The Cavaliers need to focus less on the pre game handshakes between themselves and their opponent, and instead turn their attention to working hard on the basketball court.

Tait has seen his share of basketball games, and knows when a team needs to turn things up on the defensive end.  Personally I could care less about the pre game hugs, handshakes, and rituals, but I’ve heard Tait speak out against this multiple times this season.  I think Joe’s a good 40 years older than I am, so that may explain our difference of opinion.  However, we are on the same page when it comes to bringing the hard hats and lunch pails more consistently. While the first half was disappointing on the defensive end, the 2nd half was played extremely well.  Rondo got trapped, Allen got smothered, and KG, Big Baby and Rasheed got neutralized.

That’s what Joe Tait’s talking about.

Have a GOOD NIGHT, everybody!

Joe Tait is the man. He is a no nonsense kind of guy and a straight shooter. Although I can kind of see his point, he must be missing our guys like Varejao, Hickson, D. West scoring some serious hustle points. This team has toned the celebrations a lot this year. I really don't mind them at all. It's part of every sport (and much more intolerable in the NFL where an open field tackle is reason to celebrate until the camera finds you) and is pretty much here to stay. Come on, Joe have a little fun!

Kyle thanks for letting me know what the man Tait says we should do. I love Joe but my love for AC forces me to not listen to Joe except when we are on TNT in which case i roll with the radio audio and the TNT screening.

bbb: no where in Mr. Whitling's post did he say he agrees with Tait or that he doesnt like the celebrations, actually he said the exact opposite. Let some of this hate go and dont always be looking to attack what people right. Have a wonderful day and remember God loves you.

Just some honesty, again!!

@Deja I finally found someone else who like A.C. Usually people trash him more than they trash Mike Brown. Yeah, he says some obvious things. He's like that love able bumbling uncle that can kind of be a handful, but once in a while has some great things to say. Gotta love him.
