What makes a game great? Details people!

When many people think of video games, most that are not avid gamers assume that "its just a game" and have no idea of how much work actually goes into the back story, history within the game, weather elements and overall research of the games landscape.

Its always the little details that turn a good game into a great game and from what I've seen so far, Enslaved looks to be a great game.

In a new developer diary that was released, the team behind the design of the game goes into detail of how the designed an environment around the collapse of man and what our world could potential look like.

Its a rather beautiful look into the design of what will be a great game to play and look at. Even better news is the demo for Enslaved is being released today, so if you're one of those fancy new PS+ subscribers, you get your hands a gem.

When Rob, a die hard Eagles fan, asked if we could do this "switcheroo" on viewpoints for the Eagles/Jags game, I was admittedly hesitant at first. As someone who wears my Jaguars fan hood as a badge of honor, I knew it would difficult to put myself in another fan's point of view. But in doing so, its also a very unique and intriguing situation to be in to critique the weaknesses of your team. With that being said, here are my top 5 reasons the Eagles will beat the crap out of the Jaguars.

Andy Reid May Be Gutsier than Jack Del Rio
Ever seen the alcohol commercial that says "For those who go for it on 4th and 1"? Jaguar fans know that gutsy head coach Jack Del Rio is famous for going for it on 4th down but Andy Reid may be gutsier in naming QB Kolb as the starter one day, but changing his mind the next day naming Vick as the starting QB. Whether this decision is right or wrong in the long term remains to be seen but clearly Reid changed his mind because he believes Vick can help the Eagles win more, now. In making this change, Reid gives Kolb more time to bounce back from his concussion injury and keeps the young QB confident, an absolute key in the mindset of the QB.

Philly Full Of Momentum Coming off Last Week's Win
David Garrard is coming off one of the worst, if not THE worse performances of his career throwing 6 interceptions. But Garrard wasn't the only one to struggle as it was a collaborative suckage on the whole team's behalf that lead to an embarrassment of a game vs. San Diego while the Eagles are still living off the high of Vick's return to a starting role, not just to fill a void, but to overflow it with his stellar play. If the Eagles can keep the momentum going from last week and hold on the faith the team has in Vick, the bruised ego's of the Jag players will not stand a chance.

Vick vs. Questionable Jaguars Secondary

For the past couple years, the secondary for the Jaguars has been well.....a joke. First round pick Reggie Nelson was traded earlier in the year (to much delight of the fan base) as his weak tackling and mental capabilities never seemed to get any better. To many fans surprise, CB Derek Cox was listed as inactive for last week's game against San Diego due to his play vs. Denver the week prior so its a wonder how that will play on Cox's mind for this week's game. With Vick becoming a stronger than ever pocket passer, he could have career numbers against a Jaguars secondary that still needs to find a leader.

Running Game Has Struggled to Get Going
To many pissed off fantasy owners of the Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew, those FF team owners already know of his struggles to get going so far in the 2010 season. Last week, the Jaguars could only muster 78 rushing yards against a decent, but not great defensive line. If the Eagles can contain Jones-Drew from getting an eventual break out game, they only have the QB Garrard to worry about. Talk about an easy day at the office.

Vick Vick Vick
Its been 4 years since Michael Vick was named the starting QB of any football team. When he was released from prison for the famous dog fighting ring, nobody but the Eagles would dare touch him. But after watching two Superbowls behind cell walls, Vick is one player in the league that knows exactly what it means to take the approach of playing football is a blessing. With his newly-found humble "I'll do whatever it takes" kind of approach, Vick has clearly earned the respect of the locker room. During his time away, its Vick has turned into the pocket passer that Atlanta desperately wanted him to be and with the power of his legs to open up that passing game, it could be a very long day for the Jaguars defense that is coming off a very looooooooong game vs. SD.

by Rob Lazlo, Eagles Fan

I’ve often said that the difference between a fan and a front runner is that a front runner can tell you all about their team’s strengths and a fan can tell you all about their team’s weaknesses.  In that spirit, Blythe and I go head to head on this week’s Eagles/Jaguars game explaining why the OTHER guy’s team is going to win.  Being a true Eagles fan, I can tell you exactly why and how they’re going to blow the game this week against Jacksonville boiled down to five reasons.

1. Eagles offensive line vs. Jaguars defensive line:  The Jaguars have recorded four sacks in their first two games.  Get ready for that number to go up.  The Eagles have surrendered 11 sacks in two games and their offensive line is an unqualified mess both to injuries, neglect and a little bad luck.  Don’t expect Michael Vick’s mobility to be a cure for this either - because Vick has the ability to get away from rushers he tends to hold the ball longer and, as a result, has taken more sacks since 2004 than any quarterback in football other than David Carr.

2.  Maurice Jones-Drew vs. Eagles run defense: Last week, the Eagles got gashed for 78 rushing yards and 154 receiving yards by Jahvid Best, a smallish, quick running back with good open field speed.  For two seasons now, the Eagles have struggled against the run, especially up the middle.  In fact, the Eagles big Achilles heel is a running back who can hit a hole running up the middle, quickly change direction, and then put on a burst of speed in the open field who is also a threat in the receiving game, in particular screens and swing passes in the flat.  If that isn’t a perfect description of exactly what MJD does for the Jags, I don’t know what is.

3. Marcedes Lewis v. Eagles line backing corps: The Eagles haven’t been able to cover a tight end since around 2006.  It’s become a running joke in Philadelphia that you should start whatever tight end is playing the Eagles on your fantasy team.  Marcedes Lewis isn’t a premier receiving tight end by any stretch of the imagination, but he’s off to a good start this year and is on pace to set career highs in catches, receiving yards and touchdowns (he’s already tied his career high in touchdowns with 2).  If you have him on your fantasy team, start him this week.

4. The “Dr. Jekyll Jaguars” at home: It’s well documented that the Jags are flat out a different team in Jacksonville than anywhere else.  Last season, five of their seven wins came at home.  Already in 2010, the Jags played much better in week 1 at home than they did last week at San Diego.   The Jags also beat the Eagles the last time they came to town, although that was all the way back in 2002.

5. The Eagles don’t know what they’re doing: When the Eagles did their about face earlier this week and named Michael Vick their starter, a sizeable percentage of fans calling in to talk radio or participating in online polls were certain that the Eagles only made the move because of the Phillies.  The Eagles dominated the Philadelphia market going all the way back to the Buddy Ryan days of the late 80s until recently, when the Phillies won a World Series in 2008, went to another in 2009 and are the favorites to return this year.  The Eagles penis-envy when it comes to the Phillies has certainly been blatant in the past, including the timing of the Eagles’ announcement that they signed Michael Vick and the timing of the announcement of the trade of Donovan McNabb.  I don’t think that was really the reason they made their announcement this week, but it gives you an idea of what people think about the Eagles organization these days.  Teams with dysfunctional organizations ALWAYS see it show up on the field eventually.  Bank on it with the Eagles.

Some late game scores really skewed my week to the bad side. Detroit put up 15 points in the last 6 minutes of their game with the Eagles to cover. Jacksonville’s touchdown with less than a minute to go pushed them to the over. Washington coughed up a fourth quarter lead to lose in overtime, securing a tie against the spread instead of a win.

Yeah, I know, I’m just bitching because I took a bath this week, but that’s why the early weeks of the NFL are not a great time to be making picks. For the record, I was 5-10-1 in week 2 and a woeful 0-3 in my best picks. Here’s hoping I can do better this week.

Maybe its not such a good thing to be over-prepared?

Just reading this title makes me confused. So let me help you try to understand exactly what this is.

The Shit Box is basically a collapsed box that folds out into a portable but sturdy toilet. You take care of your "business" and then can even let a friend use it. Yeah that's right...its reusable. But don't worry, it comes with box of poo bags so you can use it "over and over again". Gross.

Perhaps the best news is that you can have the option of several different styles of Shit Boxes. There's the Standard, Ploo and Shit Camo. There are even little Shit Boxes for kids and a waterproof "jacket" for your shit box. The roughly $24 product markets itself as natually towards outdoorsy people that don't bother to use a camper or rent a cabin. To each their own...But I can see its use for long hunting or fishing trips.

If the situation arises...and I was offered one, I think I would defiantly use this product. But to be the person who actually buys the damn thing and keeps it with you in case of an emergency? I'm not sure I would be comfortable being your friend. At the very least, I'd probably make fun of you and then use it anyway.

Well played Shit Box.
