Man, there was a lot of anger throughout baseball this week.

Cole Hamels kicked it off by hitting Bryce Harper and then admitting it, but that news has been overshadowed by Brett Lawrie of the Blue Jays exploding after being rung up on a questionable call by umpire Bill Miller. Lawrie threw his helmet, and it bounced and hit Miller.

Words were exchanged, certain anatomical parts were measured, and then they went their separate ways. David Wright made news for being angry about not getting hit (his manager pulled him to avoid him being the victim of retaliation for a Mets reliever plunking a guy, and Wright wasn’t too happy about it).

Meanwhile, the Texas Rangers keep chugging along. Josh Hamilton made headlines for doing hitting that is actually condoned in baseball: he went on a torrential home run binge including four home runs in a game. The AL West leaders now stand at 23-14 and have a 7.5-game lead on presumptive challenger Los Angeles.

The Atlanta Braves are also 23-14 and have rebounded nicely from last year’s staggering September collapse. The Dodgers have the most wins in the majors while Baltimore has yet to fade, tying Tampa Bay atop the AL East leaderboard with a record of 23-14.

It’s been five years since Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2, but the latest entry in the franchise, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, arrives in stores next Tuesday, May 22, but I was able to get a little hands-on time with the game’s multiplayer beta.

My initial impressions were mixed.

In another edition of MLB Debate, Adam and Rob are tackling the Brett Lawrie incident where he reacted angrily to bad strike 3 call by throwing his helmet to the ground. The helmet then bounced back up and hit the home plate umpire which will undoubtedly result in a suspension for Lawrie, but should now fans are calling for the suspension of the Ump because of the ridiculously terrible strike zone he had all night.

Should the ump be suspended? And what should happen to Lawrie?
